May 29, 2015: Run, don’t walk, to your nearest book monger and pick up a copy of the current issue of Esquire, the one with the bald guy on the cover eating an ice cream cone.  Our man David Searcy has a lovely essay on “fun” at the very front of the issue, presented in his original typescript.  This is David’s second appearance in Esquire, after a similar original-typescript presentation (an essay on pick-up trucks) earlier this year.

July 10: Wha’?! Ben Fountain again? Yes, Ben’s book Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk is being made into a movie. Ben Fountain is a long time WordSpace supporter, former board president and the 2013 winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award.

April 2013: Ben Fountain, also nominated for the Booker Prize

March 4: Paisley Rekdal, winner of the 2013 Rilke Award, $10,000 poetry prize from University of North Texas. Hear her NPR interview. 

March 3: Congratulations to Ben Fountain on receiving the 2012 National Book Critics Circle Award for fiction. Ben has been a long time supporter of WordSapce and a past board president.
