Amber’s most recent collection, Dark Sparkler, was published April 2016 by Harper Collins. The poems of Dark Sparker pay tribute to the lives of twenty five actresses whose premature deaths illustrate the tragedies that befall those both in -and just outside- the glare of Hollywood fame. Drawing inspiration from the past - Marilyn Monroe, Sharon Tate - to the present day - Brittany Murphy, Lindsay Lohan - Amber’s collection has already won praise from Roxane Gay, who calls these poems “astonishing” - “Tamblyn fiercely examines the spectacle of the acres as she lives and dies and how our hands and hearts linger on their lives.” Accompanying these poems are original artworks created especially for the book by David Lynch, Adrian Tome, Marilyn Manson, and Marcel Dzama.
